The existing Shopware 6 standard search had reached its limits. A key challenge was that changes or slight variations in part numbers, caused by different manufacturer formats, often resulted in zero results. Electropapa.com needed a solution that could natively and fault-tolerantly handle these complex, number-based search logics.

Our flexible onsite search, specifically optimized for the challenges of the spare parts trade. The solution excels at highly precise part number searches, recognizes brands, and intelligently handles separators to achieve the highest hit rates already in the suggest function. Within the suggest features, a strong product focus has been established to deliver immediately relevant results and further accelerate clicks through to product detail pages (PDPs).

With over 200,000 monthly visitors, search speed is critical for the user experience. The new, optimized core architecture has significantly improved performance. The P75 value for the Browse endpoint now consistently stays below 100 ms, and under 150 ms for the Suggest endpoint. Frontend speed remains essential, as it enables real-time interactions (filter changes, live suggestions), which demonstrably increase engagement time and conversion rates.
